Hm. I have some reservations about whether this is authentic or not, but let's just say that it isn't. Let's say its a fake. These folks are recognizing that deep attachment (or addiction) to things - even if they are poking fun - or maybe it is real... so, let's say it is real. The thing that strikes me, then, is the pure meanness involved in the other individuals' recording and broadcasting another person's rage and pain... then giggling and sniggering about it as he runs out of the room.. What do you think about this? Do you think that (authentic or not) it gives us a chance to learn something valuable?
I know that this is real. When watching it the first time a second video showed up where the brother was interviewing the kid asked him why he has done this. The boy was crying and telling him to leave him alone. I have not yet found the second video will give you the link right away. Then rethink everything.
